Welcome to Weymouth Harbour, a busy port on the south coast of England offering much more than just an overnight stop en route to somewhere else. Weymouth offers a safe haven from the predominantly south westerly winds and enjoys one of the lowest tidal ranges in the UK, allowing for safe and easy access at all states of the tide. Our rates are competitive and the friendly harbour staff will be happy to assist you with all your berthing requirements.
The harbour is situated at the heart of the old town and is the ideal place for you to moor and explore Weymouth, the Jurassic coastline and the surrounding countryside. In the immediate area surrounding the harbour there are restaurants, hostelries and shops, including chandlers. These offer a wide range of facilities and a pleasant atmosphere in which to relax. Brewers Quay and the award winning Weymouth beach are just a short walk away, as is the railway station.
Weymouth is home to the largest angling and diving charter fleet in the UK. Tourist boats run daily trips in and around Weymouth bay, Portland Harbour and Chesil Beach to view some of the fascinating scenery that is very close by.

In the inner harbour, on the other side of the town bridge, there are permenant moorings for vessels 6 - 12 metres in length. There are also a few chain and sinker moorings available and a drying grid to wash down hulls. To enquire about the availability of moorings and to book the drying out grid please phone the Moorings Officer on (01305) 838422. The slipway is used for launching/retrieving smaller craft. At the far end of the inner harbour is a private marina run by Dean and Reddyhoff.
Weymouth has a great many maritime and holiday events lined up for 2008. In particular, the 'Spirit of the Sea' festival 5 -13 July is a rapidly expanding marine attraction. Looking further forward, Weymouth and Portland are delighted to have been selected as the venue for all sailing events at the 2012 Olympics and Para-Olympics. This offers exciting prospects in the lead up to the Games and should also provide a lasting legacy for all harbour users.
The front of the harbour office at 13 Custom House Quay has recently been redecorated. This is just one of the items that we are making to improve the harbour office, the harbour and the surrounding area.
