Jewel in the Crown

Princess of Wales Gardens, Radipole Park Drive

The Princess of Wales Gardens...

...are a real jewel in Weymouth's Crown. Although renamed in October 1999 as a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales, they are more commonly known as Radipole Park Gardens.

Discovering this tree lined retreat is a true delight for anyone, especially those with green fingers, as it offers year round interest with stunning summer bedding, shrubs, herbaceous perennials and bulbs. A variety of trees, as well as a walkway of Weeping Willows, makes this peaceful haven a popular setting for wedding photographs.

Princess of Wales Gardens, Radipole Park Drive Sometimes referred to as the 'hidden gardens of Weymouth', they are located off the beaten track, running alongside the RSPB Swannery Nature Reserve, Radipole Park Drive, and are a must for anyone looking to enjoy a few stolen moments away from the crowds.
